RTD sensor is a kind of temperature measuring element commonly used in the middle and low temperature area, which uses the characteristics of the resistance of the substance itself to change with the change of temperature to measure the temperature.
Thermal resistance is mostly made of pure metal materials, platinum and copper are currently the most widely used, and materials such as nickel, manganese and rhodium are now used to make thermal resistance. RTDs are often used in conjunction with displays, recording meters, and electronic regulators. It can directly measure the temperature of liquid, vapor and gaseous media and solid surfaces in the range of -200°C in various production processes. The series assembly RTD is usually composed of main components such as temperature sensing elements, mounting fixtures and junction boxes, which have the advantages of high measurement accuracy and stable and reliable performance. In practical application, Pt100 platinum thermal resistance is the most widely used. The series of armored platinum thermal resistance is a solid body composed of temperature sensing elements, leads, insulating materials and stainless steel bushings, which has the following advantages: slender body, fast thermal response time, vibration resistance, long service life and other advantages. The flameproof thermal resistance uses a special structure junction box to limit the explosion of explosive mixed gas inside the junction box due to sparks or arcs, etc., and will not cause an explosion at the production site.
The end-face RTD temperature sensing element is made of specially treated resistance wire wound and adheres to the end face of the thermometer. Compared with general axial RTD, it can reflect the actual temperature of the end face to be measured more accurately and quickly, and is suitable for measuring surface temperature.
