How to Choose rtd

1) Protective Tube Materials: 1Cr18Ni9Ti is a common choice. When encountering corrosive circumstance, SUS316L could be put into use. Hartz alloy tubes, PTFE sleeves, and some others are recommended to deal with sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, and other strong oxidant environment.
2)Diameter & Length of Protective Tubes: The larger the tube diameter and thicker the wall thickness, the longer the thermal response time. Therefore, as long as there is no strength requirement for the tube, smaller diameter MIMS platinum rtd are recommended.
3) Mounting Brackets: When the diameter is ranging from φ2 to 4, M12×1.5 threading and φ55 ferrule flange are good. When the diameter is φ5, 6, and 8, M16×1.5 threading and φ65 ferrule flange are recommended. And its metal sleeve part is usually threaded with M20×1.5.
4)Terminations: The choice of termination should be convenient and reliable minded. There are ceramic wiring blocks, connectors, protective caps with compensation wires, protective caps with metal sleeves, and compensation wires to choose for termination of MIMS rtds.
