How to choose rtd

1) Protective Tube Materials: 1Cr18Ni9Ti is a common choice. When encountering corrosive circumstance, SUS316L could be put into use. Tantalum tubes, Hartz alloy tubes, PTFE sleeves, and some others are recommended to deal with sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, and other strong oxidant environment.

2) Diameter & Length of Protective Tubes: The larger the tube diameter and thicker the wall thickness, the longer the thermal response time. Therefore, as long as there is no strength requirement for the tube, smaller diameter MIMS platinum rtd are recommended. Thermistor only measures the average temperature across the RTD element covered area, the insertion length should be considered all things rationally. Usually, the total length is the sum of its insertion length plus 150mm for a terminal enclosure. Need 100mm or more length in the target substance to ensure proper measurement.

3) Terminations: The choice of termination should be convenient and reliable minded. There are ceramic wiring blocks, connectors, protective caps with compensation wires, protective caps with metal sleeves, and compensation wires to choose for termination of MIMS rtd. For assembly rtd, there are terminal blocks and binding posts that could be picked from. The purpose of various terminal enclosures is to meet dustproof, waterproof, flameproof, and other requirements. The choices are waterproofing enclosures, flameproof terminal enclosures, mobile display embed terminal enclosures and multi-point enclosures.
