I. Product Overview

Since the invention of the thermocouple temperature sensing element, temperature measurement products have evolved into two major structural categories: one is the assembled and sheathed thermocouple with a protective tube; the other is a simplified temperature-measuring cable without a protective tube, using fiber braiding or plastic insulation-also known in the industry as disposable thermocouples or consumable thermocouples.

Cable-type thermocouples are manufactured using consumable thermocouple wire as the base material, with the hot junction and cold junction formed during processing. Cable-type RTDs are made by welding temperature-sensing elements onto consumable resistance lead wires, integrating the cold and hot junctions in one unit. These products are easy to use and cost-effective. With the rapid growth of China's aerospace manufacturing industry, the demand for disposable temperature-measuring cables has continued to surge. Annual shipments of cable-type thermocouples and RTDs have been rising steadily, and this product line has now become an independent, mature, and core offering of our company.

 

II. Product Classification and Insulation Material Selection

(A) Cable-Type Thermocouples

Thermocouple types (calibration): K, N, E, J, T

Available insulation materials: PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), fiberglass, aluminum silicate ceramic fiber, polycrystalline alumina fiber

Product advantages: The manufacturing process does not damage the thermocouple wire, causes no thermal deformation or damage, and involves a simple process. Single-use temperature measurement is stable and reliable. Suitable for high-precision spot temperature measurement and simple on-site temperature measurement applications.

(B) Cable-Type RTDs

RTD types (calibration): Pt100, Cu50

Available insulation materials: PVC (polyvinyl chloride), PTFE, silicone rubber

Production Standards

Currently, there is no specific national standard in China for cable-type thermocouples. Our products are manufactured in accordance with general basic thermocouple standards and industry standards for compensation cables. All specifications can be custom-processed according to customers' on-site working conditions.
